Job Summary
Head of Regulation & Internal Control CIB Asia responsible for leading and overseeing the Compliance framework, Non-Financial Risk management and Regulatory developments across CIB branches and offices in Asia. Oversees regulatory policy implementation (AML/CFT, sanctions, corporate compliance, market conduct, investor protection, data protection), designs and oversees the Non-Financial Risk framework, standardizes guidelines across branches, provides independent advisory to senior management, leads investigations of significant compliance incidents, and promotes a strong risk culture aligned with Group standards. Requires senior-level experience in compliance/control functions, cross-border governance capabilities, and ability to engage regulators and manage supervisory reviews. English fluency is required; Mandarin is an advantage. Reporting structures include regional leadership and global R&IC teams; background checks are noted for Hong Kong.
Required Qualifications
- Senior level compliance experience (at least 15 years) in Compliance or related control functions (Internal Audit, Non Financial Risks, Internal Control)
- Experience with Corporate & Investment Banking businesses (global markets, investment banking, global transaction banking)
- Strong governance and risk management mindset
- Customer oriented
- Ability to work in a matrix reporting structure, multi-functional and cross-cultural environment
- Management abilities to lead, coordinate and liaise with multi-geography teams
- Excellent communications & negotiations skills
- Proactive approach, strategic thinking, organization & execution capabilities
- High integrity, ethics, and confidentiality
- Fluency in English; Mandarin is an advantage
