Job Summary
Oversee and manage procurement activities, developing strategies aligned with business goals and forecasting market trends to ensure continuous supply of materials like steel, brass, and plastic. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with global suppliers, particularly from Southeast Asia, while monitoring performance to secure advantageous terms and maintain quality standards. Manage budgets, conduct cost-saving initiatives, and oversee inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock. Lead the procurement team, setting performance goals and fostering professional growth while collaborating with production and sales to align purchasing with demand forecasts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a requisite PG in Materials Management or a related field
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
- At least 5 years in a leadership role
- Experience in the appliances or consumer electronics industry
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to develop and implement successful procurement strategies
- Experience with procurement software and tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Leadership and team management

- Supplier relationship management

Desired Qualifications
- Strong network of relationship in global sourcing especially from South East Asia
- Understanding of Raw Materials like Steel, Brass, Plastic, components etc
- Candidate having worked in mass production industry with multiple plant facilities
