Job Summary
Head of Projects at Tickmill will lead and develop the Project Managers team, establishing governance frameworks, methodologies, and best practices. You will act as the right-hand person to the COO/CIO, oversee delivery of strategic projects within budgets and timelines, drive continuous improvement of delivery standards with a focus on Agile and hybrid models, mentor cross-functional delivery teams, translate strategic objectives into executable roadmaps with measurable outcomes, and establish executive-level reporting on project health, risks, and resource utilization. You will manage relationships with senior leadership and key stakeholders, fostering accountability, collaboration, and delivery excellence across the organization. Expected qualifications include 8+ years in project management with 3+ years in a Head of Projects role, strong governance and portfolio management skills, SDLC expertise, stakeholder management, and familiarity with Jira/Confluence. The role supports hybrid remote work with an office in Warsaw, Poland; the organization operates in FinTech and regulated industries and seeks a senior leader capable of shaping delivery across cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Project Management
- At least 3 years as a Head of Projects or similar role
- Proven track record managing complex project portfolios and cross-functional teams
- Experience within FinTech, Financial Services, Gaming or highly regulated industries is a strong advantage
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Strong expertise in project governance, portfolio management, resource planning, budgeting, and risk management
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and technology project delivery
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and communicate at executive and board level
- Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence or others
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-growth environment
