Job Summary
Head of Programme in Bangui, CAR to develop and ensure holistic high-quality programmes. Lead fundraising strategy in line with country strategy; guide teams in creating cost-effective, evidence-based concept notes, project proposals, and budgets for scale-up and post-emergency programming. Liaise with donors on funding opportunities and manage grant requirements. Ensure MEL data collection, storage, analysis, and reporting; document learning to improve future programmes. Uphold quality of the country multisectoral programme following international standards, NRC’s SIP and response policies. Collaborate with the Country Director to identify evidence gaps, drive advocacy and communication, and ensure effective accountability mechanisms and feedback/complaints processes. Identify diverse local stakeholders and partners aligned with the country office’s humanitarian objectives. Duty station: Bangui, CAR. Contract: 4 months Fixed Contract. Salary: Grade 11 on NRC’s salary scale. Internal applicants only.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience from a senior management position in humanitarian/recovery context
- Experience in complex and volatile contexts
- Knowledge of cash-based and market-based interventions
- Fluency in French and English (written and spoken)
- Documented success in securing donor funding
- Experience with programme quality and international standards (SIP, NRC policies)
- Ability to develop fundraising strategy and fund management
- Experience with MEL data collection, analysis, reporting, and learning integration
- Experience coordinating with donors and grant management
- Strong leadership, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills
