Job Summary
Define and execute the vision for Malt's payment architecture and third-party dependencies to enable geographic scale and commercial expansion. Act as the primary bridge between Finance, Legal, and Tech teams to build a scalable operational model for seamless transactional experiences. Own product benchmarking, explore new payment methods, and assess payment service providers while driving the roadmap for multi-currency, cross-border marketplace transactions. Transform cash advance models and factoring partner setups to limit transaction risk, collaborating with Treasury to protect working capital. Serve as the functional referent for international payment compliance, Anti-Money Laundering standards, and localized regulations across all active regions.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive tech/product leadership directly within a platform or B2B marketplace environment
- specialization in fintech, core payment infrastructures, or global treasury networks
- Proven mastery of payment service providers (PSPs)
- mastery of international banking networks
- mastery of cross-border escrow structures
- mastery of factoring financial mechanics
- mastery of data analytics tools (e.g., Looker)
- Track record of exercising a built / buy / partner muscle for critical infrastructure
- Deep understanding of enterprise B2B sales cycles
- Deep understanding of procurement/P2P workflows
- Deep understanding of marketplace unit economics
