Job Summary
Review new market categories and product features for regulatory exposure before launch, providing the product team with clear, actionable viability assessments. Translate legal and compliance constraints into specific product requirements engineering can build without constant lawyer escalation. Contribute to the overall product roadmap by flagging regulatory risk early and helping prioritize feature development. Work directly with product managers and engineers to embed legal thinking into the design process from the start, not as a final review gate. Build internal frameworks and guidelines that enable faster team velocity by making common legal questions answerable without escalation. Monitor the regulatory environment across crypto, derivatives, and prediction markets, bringing relevant developments to leadership before they become problems. Make fast, well-reasoned calls on novel legal risk in real time, owning those decisions and documenting the rationale clearly. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of information markets, crypto, and traditional derivatives for the world's largest prediction market platform.
Required Qualifications
- JD required
- You have practiced law
- You understand how to construct a legal argument
- 8 or more years of experience at the intersection of legal and product
- Prior work in crypto
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment
- Strong product instincts
- You have worked at or with world-class product teams
- You understand the full surface of a consumer product
- You can think in terms of user flows and tradeoffs
Desired Qualifications
- You know how regulators think and what they look for
- (Plus) Direct experience with CFTC regulation or derivatives compliance
- If you've dealt with prediction markets, swaps, or event contracts specifically, that's a meaningful edge
