Job Summary
Lead and develop Product Technical Leads across a diverse engineering portfolio spanning nine products and six technology stacks. Own engineering capacity, delivery, and performance while driving engineering excellence, consistency, and AI-assisted development. Partner with senior leaders to shape technology strategy and product priorities, championing continuous improvement and scalable engineering practices. Help shape the future structure of the Retail engineering function as the business grows. This role influences strategy and drives AI adoption within one of the UK's fastest-growing software groups.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience leading software engineering teams in a product-led environment
- Strong technical background with the ability to challenge and support senior engineers
- Experience managing multiple products or engineering teams simultaneously
- A track record of developing high-performing technical teams
- Strong stakeholder management and strategic planning skills
- A passion for modern engineering practices and AI-enabled software development
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within a PE-backed or multi-product SaaS business
- Knowledge of AI development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code
- Experience leading engineering teams through organisational change or acquisitions
