Job Summary
Define and execute the company's technology strategy and roadmap while aligning initiatives with business goals. Lead the engineering team through recruitment, mentorship, and retention, establishing strong development processes and standards. Oversee the full software development lifecycle from concept to release, ensuring high-quality code, testing, and deployment practices for scalable, secure, and reliable systems. Partner closely with Product, Operations, Credit, and Sales teams to translate business workflows into efficient technical solutions and shape the user experience. Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies, including AI and automation, to continuously improve development workflows and system performance.
Required Qualifications
- 8–15+ years of experience in software engineering and technology leadership
- Proven experience building and scaling technology platforms
- Experience leading engineering teams in a startup or high-growth environment
- Strong understanding of modern architecture, cloud infrastructure, and APIs
- Experience partnering closely with product and business teams
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in fintech, lending, or financial services
- Experience building marketplaces or multi-sided platforms
- Familiarity with compliance, security, and regulated environments
- Experience leveraging AI or automation in product development
