Head of Procurement

Head of Procurement to establish a brand-new procurement function at Fastned, reporting to the COO. You will own governance, category strategy and sourcing processes for major spend categories, lead supplier negotiations, build a network of Procurement Champions within functional teams, and provide advisory support on best practices. The role emphasizes creating structure, processes, templates, and frameworks (RFPs, contracts, approval hierarchies) to enable the business while safeguarding financial stability. Key activities include defining procurement operates model, developing category and supplier strategies, maintaining strategic supplier relationships, leading commercial negotiations with key suppliers, collaborating with Legal on contract soundness, driving supplier performance through structured reviews, delivering spend visibility and targeted cost reductions within 18–24 months, and building a procurement team and network embedded across the organization. Qualifications highlight 10+ years in procurement, strong negotiation and contract management, governance experience, stakeholder management, and a passion for energy transition.
