Job Summary
Head of People & Culture at Fitness & Lifestyle Group (FLG) overseeing a group People & Culture function for multiple brands in Australia. Lead a high-performing P&C Generalist team, partner with the Executive General Manager to deliver the Group People Strategy, provide executive-level advice on workforce performance, risk, and cost, and ensure compliance with Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards, and legislation. Drive business outcomes through strategic people initiatives, align Talent Acquisition and L&D to deliver end-to-end solutions, oversee remuneration and performance cycles, and enhance employee experience and wellbeing while reducing administrative burden. Require senior stakeholder influence, autonomous decision-making, and the ability to operate across a complex, multi-site, multi-brand environment in Australia. Offer a hybrid work model (60/40 office vs. work-from-home) with a focus on strategic partnership and transformation across the business.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience in a senior HR Business Partner or Head of People & Culture role within a complex, multi-site or multi-brand organisation
- Demonstrated ability to influence and advise Executive and senior leadership stakeholders
- Strong experience leading and developing high-performing HR teams
- Deep expertise in employee and industrial relations, including Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards, and Fair Work Commission matters
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities across multiple business areas, with strong judgement and autonomy
- Experience leading or contributing to people-related projects, including organisational or operating model change
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex matters into clear, actionable insights
- Strong conflict resolution and negotiation capability in high-stakes environments
- Desirable tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management, Business, or a related discipline
- Industry experience in customer-led, multi-site sectors such as fitness, retail, or hospitality
