Job Summary
Head of Own Brand role responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of the private label portfolio, combining category management, product development and brand strategy. Lead a high-performing team, drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver innovative products, accelerate speed-to-market, and build a differentiated brand offering. Define and execute the long-term product roadmap and brand architecture, drive sales, margin, and market share, optimise pricing and marketing ROI, oversee packaging and go-to-market strategies across retail and digital channels, lead supplier negotiations, champion speed-to-market and continuous improvement, and develop brand playbooks and style guides. The role requires leadership, strong commercial and financial acumen, and a deep understanding of brand positioning and customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years’ experience in category management, merchandising or product development
- strong own brand/private label exposure
- proven track record of delivering commercial growth and product innovation
- strong financial acumen, including P&L ownership, pricing and margin optimisation
- experience managing complex supply chains and supplier negotiations
- creative and strategic mindset with brand positioning understanding
- tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or related discipline
