Job Summary
Head of Operational Excellence at Galderma in Uppsala, Sweden, leading the transformation of the site into a mature, high-performing organization. Responsibilities include leading the strategy deployment program (e.g., Hoshin Kanri), driving large-scale Lean and Six Sigma projects with measurable business impact, embedding data-driven decision making, delivering training and coaching to build organizational capability, optimizing manufacturing workflows, and partnering with senior leadership to shape and sustain continuous performance improvement. The role requires Lean Six Sigma expertise, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to influence at all levels within a global pharmaceutical manufacturing context, with on-site emphasis and occasional remote work.
Required Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (required)
- 10+ years of relevant experience in Operational Excellence, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar disciplines
- Solid line management and leadership team experience
- Background in manufacturing, supply chain, and/or engineering within a global organization
- Experience from pharmaceutical, automotive, or highly cost-focused industries is an advantage
- Proficiency in statistical tools such as Minitab, JMP, or equivalent
- Experience in training, coaching, and capability building within Lean/Six Sigma frameworks
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal capabilities
