Job Summary
Lead Korean medical organization to ensure it creates customer value, sustainably high-performance driven and people & development-oriented function with robust systems, processes and right organizational capabilities in place to deliver our Biopharma strategy. Lead country medical team including patient support nurse teams and set up appropriate structures, systems, competencies, values, and vision. Process state-of-the-art knowledge in relevant therapeutic areas and products. Be company scientific spokesman and establish scientific/clinical partnership with key opinion leaders, leading academic institutions, and societies. Manage medical team members’ performance and development. Ensure team operation follows compliance and regulation standards. Oversee the development and execution of Medical strategic plans and the implementation of medical activities in terms of medical information service, sponsorship and donation, and medical education, such as clinical studies (including ISTs), publications, scientific communication, advisory boards, congresses sponsorship and presence, KTL activities, HCP medical education and internal staff disease and product training, medical material development and promotional materials review and approval. Responsible for related cost center management, including budget planning and resource allocation. Serve as country leadership team member for our Healthcare business in Korea for strategy-making, and cross-functional projects execution, enhance collaboration, and provide scientific inputs for related projects. Ensure smooth collaboration among Global, Regional, and Local Medical teams.
Required Qualifications
- MD (Doctor of Medicine) degree
- 15+ years of relevant experience with a multinational pharmaceutical company
- Experience in leading country medical teams and patient support teams
- Deep knowledge of therapeutic areas and products
- Skilled in managing team performance and developing competencies
- Thorough understanding of compliance and regulatory adherence
- Experience in medical strategy formulation, execution, and budget management
