Job Summary
Head of Major Donors responsible for cultivating and stewarding Mission 44’s relationships with high-value donors, philanthropists and strategic supporters. Lead the development and delivery of a tailored Major Donors programme to deepen donor pipeline, increase contributions and strengthen long-term engagement. Manage and coordinate stewardship plans, create tailored donor journeys, produce bespoke donor updates and impact reports, and collaborate across fundraising, communications, programmes and leadership teams. Maintain accurate donor records in CRM, monitor timelines and reporting commitments, and support leadership with donor preparation and engagement materials. Travel, particularly to the US, as needed to engage major donors. Requires exceptional relationship-building, strategic thinking, project management, and the ability to translate impact into compelling narratives aligned with Mission 44’s values and mission.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience in major donor cultivation, stewardship, philanthropy or high-value relationship management
- Proven track record of managing relationships with high-net-worth individuals, philanthropists or strategic supporters
- Experience developing and delivering donor stewardship plans and engagement strategies
- Proven success in the direct solicitation and stewardship of six- and seven-figure philanthropic contributions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience producing high-quality donor reports and communications
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Experience working with CRM systems and donor databases
- Some travel, particularly to the US
