Job Summary
Own IT strategy, budget, and headcount, reporting on cost per employee, time to onboard, and network uptime. Manage identity and access end to end via Okta, including SSO, RBAC, and automated joiner-mover-leaver processes. Own the Mac and Windows fleet through MDM baselines, encryption, patch SLAs, and procurement. Build and execute the new-site playbook for warehouse locations with no dedicated IT staff, covering network, wifi, and remote-first support. Lead technical eradication and containment for identity and account-compromise incidents alongside Security. Negotiate vendor relationships for SaaS contracts, ISP circuits, and hardware SOWs. Automate aggressively with AI to grow IT headcount slower than company headcount.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years in IT
- 2+ years leading a team
- experience with hiring and performance management
- Scaled IT through real headcount growth at a fast-moving company
- Deep hands-on depth in Okta
- Deep hands-on depth in Google Workspace admin
- MDM at fleet scale across Mac and Windows
- Led or directly executed a SOC 2 (Type 2 preferred) audit cycle
- Led technical incident response for an identity or account-compromise event
- Negotiated vendor contracts directly
- Designed and run enterprise wired and wireless networks
- Stood up a physical site end to end
- Owned an IT budget
- Still technical enough to fix it yourself
