Job Summary
Head of IT at Melanoma Institute Australia leads technology strategy, cybersecurity, data governance, and IT team to support clinical, research, and operational objectives. Responsible for strategic direction, security, reliability, scalability of infrastructure and applications; manage technology budgets, vendors, and capital expenditure; partner with clinical/research/corporate stakeholders to deliver effective technology solutions; lead and develop a small, multi-disciplinary IT team; identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and drive innovation across the organisation. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field with a Master's degree preferred; minimum 10 years IT experience with at least 5 in a senior leadership role; hybrid work arrangement in Wollstonecraft, NSW, AU.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant technical or informatics field
- A Master's degree (MBA/MS) is preferred
- Minimum 10 years' experience in IT
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Strong command of enterprise architecture, cloud solutions (IaaS/SaaS) and modern clinical applications
- Expert knowledge of data privacy and security requirements
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on involvement
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Full working rights within Australia required
Desired Qualifications
