Head of IT Infrastructure

Job Summary
Define and execute the infrastructure strategy, technology roadmap, and modernization initiatives to ensure capacity, performance, and scalability meet business requirements. Own the lifecycle of servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and data center environments, establishing standards for security, hardening, patching, and automation. Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and contracts while leading the infrastructure team, defining structures, recruiting talent, and ensuring on-call coverage. Lead major incidents, define disaster recovery procedures with specific RTOs and RPOs, and maintain accurate technical inventories and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems engineering, network engineering, IT operations, or technical disciplines related
- 3+ years of experience in a senior infrastructure or IT leadership position
- Proven experience managing on-premises infrastructure and data center environments
- Strong knowledge of server, storage, networking, virtualization, and operating-system technologies
- Strong experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent
- Experience managing enterprise backup and disaster recovery environments
- Strong understanding of infrastructure security, system hardening, access management, and patch management
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and capacity management
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and infrastructure projects
- Strong vendor-management, budgeting, and stakeholder-management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and incident-management capabilities
