Job Summary
Senior insurance legal leader to define regulatory strategy and ensure global insurance compliance for Alan, collaborating with insurance counsels, business, product, and care teams. Drive responses to inspections, shape regulatory risk management, oversee international expansion regulatory licensing, design internal legal frameworks and automation roadmaps, and negotiate with key prospects, clients, and regulators. Role emphasizes strategic autonomy, cross-border regulatory expertise, and a blend of product, pricing, and member protection considerations, with in-person collaboration valued alongside remote flexibility. Fluency in French and professional English required; 10+ years of relevant experience preferred. Location-focused with hybrid remote work in France and Belgium.
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years of insurance law and/or social protection law experience
- Fluency in French and professional English
- In-depth knowledge of insurance regulatory frameworks (ACPR guidelines, insurance distribution rules)
- Experience negotiating or litigating complex health and disability insurance deals
- Ability to oversee regulatory compliance across multiple markets and lead expansion initiatives
- Strategic autonomy and ability to influence executive-level decisions
- Bonus: experience with international markets and regulatory authorities
- Interest in leveraging technology/AI to streamline legal operations
- Willingness to work from France (legal eligibility to work)
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
