Job Summary

Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on growth initiatives, corporate priorities, and long-term business capture strategies. Conduct market and customer research to inform decision-making, then translate operational needs into executable technical approaches and funding plans. Lead proposal planning, organize capture kickoffs, and develop win themes while coordinating cross-functional teams to meet deadlines. Build trusted relationships with federal and military customers, industry partners, and government stakeholders to drive new business from concept to contract. Represent the company at executive meetings and industry events, preparing briefing materials and documenting action items. Balance strategic planning with hands-on execution to shape the technology roadmap based on customer insights.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Entrepreneurship, Organizational Management, or a related field
  • Master's degree
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business growth, strategic planning, business development, capture management, or a combination of individual contributor and leadership roles
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing corporate growth strategies, business capture initiatives, and strategic partnerships
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate customer needs into actionable business and technology strategies
  • Experience leading proposal development and coordinating cross-functional teams through the capture lifecycle
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with the ability to influence executive leadership, customers, and strategic partners
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, complex initiatives, and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Location Preference: This position is ideally based in the National Capital Region (Washington, D.C./DMV) or the Detroit metropolitan area

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting the U.S. Department of Defense, federal government, or advanced technology organizations
  • Understanding of DoD science and technology (S&T), requirements development, acquisition, and contracting processes
  • Experience developing technology roadmaps and customer engagement strategies
  • Prior military service or demonstrated understanding of DoD operational, logistics, and combat arms missions
