Job Summary
Head of Global Incentives and Real Estate Tax at JPMorgan Chase leads the Global Incentives Group and oversees incentive, real estate tax appeals and payments, energy, and tax credit programs across the firm’s global operations. Responsible for negotiating discretionary incentives with governmental entities, building frameworks to identify and capture new incentives in U.S. and international markets, directing research and execution of tax credits and incentives, energy rebates, and real estate tax appeals, and ensuring compliance with contracts, statutes, and internal policies. Manages real estate tax filings, tax payments, and appeals for the global portfolio; leads procurement and relationships with incentive, energy, and real estate tax consultants; collaborates across Global Regions and Corporate Functions; drives process improvements and reporting modernization; delivers executive presentations; mentors team members and fosters a culture of excellence, compliance, and innovation. Requires 15+ years in incentives, real estate tax, or related fields with multinational experience; proven negotiation and cross-functional leadership abilities; strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 15+ years of experience in incentives, real estate tax, or related fields
- experience negotiating business incentive deals
- experience managing third party providers for incentives and tax payments/appeals
- advanced knowledge of federal, state, local, and international incentives
- understanding of ICAP program
- expertise in real estate tax, tax modelling, valuation techniques, and compliance processes
- strong communication and leadership skills
- flexibility to work across global time zones
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
