Job Summary
Head of Formulation & Product Development in Schlieren, Switzerland, leading the formulation and product development function for Fine Fragrance and Cosmetics, including encapsulation formulations, regulatory compliance, and end-to-end customer project management; lead a team of 2+ scientists, drive scalable, market-ready formulations, ensure regulatory compliance (EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009, IFRA), and collaborate with customers and partners to transfer concepts to manufacturable products.
Required Qualifications
- MSc or PhD in Cosmetic Technology, Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or closely related field
- 8+ years of progressive experience in formulation and/or product development, with a strong track record in fine fragrance and/or cosmetics
- demonstrated experience leading development projects from lab concept to industrial-scale implementation, including scale-up and technology transfer
- hands-on experience with product testing and analytical characterization
- working command of cosmetics/fragrance regulatory requirements
- proven people-leadership experience
- Swiss work permit
