Head of Financial Reporting

Head of Financial Reporting responsible for managing the external review, reporting and audit process, and driving an efficient close with consistent application of accounting policies for the Smiths Detection group. Lead the design of a fit-for-purpose corporate reporting process ahead of separation, develop and maintain a Group Accounting Manual, and deliver disclosures for half-yearly results under IFRS. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise in consolidations, multi-currency reporting, and UK public listed company requirements, with the ability to research technical questions, work in a matrix organisation, and train global finance teams. The position is based at the London headquarters with hybrid working arrangements and encompasses ensuring accurate, complete, and balanced financial reporting, responding to technical accounting queries, and providing papers for Audit Committee and external auditors.
