Head of Finance – (iGaming & Sports Betting)

Job Summary
Lead all finance functions including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and financial operations while driving financial planning processes and providing strategic commercial analysis to support executive decision-making. Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and South African statutory requirements, ensuring full compliance with tax regulations, gaming regulatory requirements, and internal control frameworks. Oversee country-level finance teams to ensure consistent reporting standards, manage cash flow and working capital, and lead internal and external audit processes to drive timely resolution of findings. Present financial performance updates and recommendations to senior leadership as the primary liaison with auditors, financial institutions, and regulators. Build and develop a high-performing finance team in Cape Town to align financial strategy with the organization's aggressive growth trajectory across Africa.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 7+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership responsibility
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, South African tax legislation, and statutory regulatory frameworks
- Experience working with ERP systems and advanced financial reporting platforms
- Strategic, commercially focused mindset with strong business partnering capability
- Proven leadership ability managing and scaling finance teams
- Advanced analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, integrity, and governance discipline
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Ability to operate effectively in a high-growth, fast-moving environment
Desired Qualifications
- CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification preferred
- Experience within iGaming, fintech, payments, or other regulated industries is highly advantageous
