Job Summary
Lead the financial oversight of Core Functions by mentoring two Senior Finance Business Partners and an Analyst to deliver cohesive financial planning and cost control. Translate complex variance analyses into strategic narratives for the Chief People Officer and Senior Leadership Teams to influence global investment decisions. Establish and own critical KPIs for organizational health, span of control, and cost-per-head while overseeing employee benefit expenses and headcount management frameworks. Drive automation of headcount tracking and benefit reporting to enable scalable, tool-driven architectures. Partner with People Leadership to execute long-term workforce strategies for global location expansion and talent mapping.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record of managing senior-level finance professionals
- Extensive proven experience partnering with senior leadership teams, specifically within People and Functions
- Demonstrated track record of managing complex, company-wide headcount structures
- Demonstrated track record of long-term workforce planning
- Demonstrated track record of international location strategies
- Demonstrated track record of managing substantial operational expense budgets
- Passion for leveraging technology and automation to eliminate manual processes
- Strong experience building KPI dashboards
- Strong experience building predictive models
- Advanced expertise in building, scaling, and owning complex financial frameworks
- Advanced expertise in building and owning capacity models
- Strong preference for enterprise planning tools (e.g., Anaplan)
- Professional finance qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent (MBA / Masters in Finance)
- Extensive post-qualification experience
- Strong grasp of IFRS
- Strong grasp of corporate accounting
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and strategically
- Ability to influence the leadership team
- Ability to see the macroeconomic and organisational interdependencies
- Ability to apply a strict KPI-driven lens to problem-solving
- Highly adaptable, resilient, and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving tech environment
- Strong project management skills
- Capability to drive cross-functional alignment across multiple offices, time zones, and complex stakeholder groups
- Ability to roll up sleeves and validate data yourself when needed
- Experience in a hyper-growth FinTech or fast-paced global tech company
- Direct experience working closely with Workday and Anaplan integrations
- Background utilising AI to optimise financial processes, data pipelines, and headcount forecasting
