Job Summary
Head of Events at a professional body for building services engineers. Leads delivery of events, awards, conferences, and corporate events, coordinating with sales, marketing, technical and finance teams. Manages an events team (two direct reports), oversees venue selection, logistics, timelines, stakeholder engagement, and on-site delivery, while maintaining budgets and ensuring high-quality execution. Requires strong communication, collaboration across diverse stakeholders, attention to detail, and ability to work in a hybrid-office arrangement. Experiences in planning large-scale events, international or global events, and an ability to build customer-centric communication strategies are desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Two years’ minimum event experience
- Experience delivering awards, conferences and corporate events
- Ability to manage budgets and forecast expenditures
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Attention to detail and ability to deliver in line with timelines
- Stakeholder management across academics, experts and engineers
- IT literacy and familiarity with event management systems
