Head of Engineering (Fast-Moving Consumer Food Manufacturing)

Job Summary
Oversee plant engineering integrity, utilities, and quality compliance for high-speed food processing lines while ensuring strict adherence to FSSC 22000, HACCP, and GMP standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and energy consumption, manage CAPEX portfolios from scope definition to commissioning, and optimize maintenance programs to maximize OEE and minimize downtime. Partner with Production and Quality teams to troubleshoot complex mechanical and automation constraints, enforce SHE regulations, and mentor technical staff on advanced process technologies. This strategic leadership role supports the Asia-Pacific manufacturing hub's modernization efforts within a globally renowned multinational food manufacturer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Process, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline)
- 10+ years of progressive manufacturing engineering leadership experience
- heavy preference for high-volume Food, Beverage, or fast-moving FMCG manufacturing sectors
- Deep knowledge of equipment design, maintenance troubleshooting, and asset reliability engineering (TPM/RCM principles)
- Strong understanding of food processing technology, specifically including advanced thermal preservation, sterilization, pasteurization, and high-speed packaging systems
- Practical familiarity with regulatory and quality management systems (HACCP, GMP, ISO, FSSC 22000, and OSHA)
- Proven track record of managing substantial CAPEX portfolios, delivering high-value engineering projects on time and within budget
- Outstanding communication, networking, and leadership skills; able to influence, collaborate, and align expectations across Production, Quality, HSE, and Finance
