Job Summary
Head of Development responsible for leading and mentoring Development Leads, defining and enforcing development standards, architectural direction, and the technical debt roadmap. Drives the technical roadmap, collaborates with Delivery, QA, CPTO, DevOps & Experience, and leads recruiting and onboarding to scale the development organization. Requires 8+ years in software development, 3+ years in a leadership role, deep JavaScript/Node.js expertise, and experience with scalable systems and technologies (Nginx, Redis, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, microservices). Demonstrates mentoring, decision-making and delivery excellence, strong communication between tech and management, and a startup-minded, results-driven approach. Offers strategic scope to shape growth, with flat hierarchies and an agile setup; location is Köln with remote work options; temporary contract.
Required Qualifications
- Mindestens 8 Jahre Erfahrung in der Softwareentwicklung
- 3 Jahre disziplinarische Führungsrolle
- Fundiertes Wissen im JavaScript-/Node.js Umfeld
- Erfahrung mit Nginx, Redis, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes
- Erfahrung mit Microservice-Architekturen
