Job Summary
Lead the engineering team across Dataviz, Frontend, Backend, Integrations, and DevOps while making architecture calls and shipping code yourself. Steer TypeScript/React development for web and desktop, and manage Go/Postgres backend systems. Drive the browser-based data visualization engine and its interaction interfaces. Own third-party integrations with Google Slides, Microsoft PowerPoint, and partner platforms like Okta and Microsoft Entra ID. Run the CI/CD pipeline on Vercel and AWS, maintain Docker-based preview environments, and ensure production health for critical systems including GitHub, CircleCI, and payment integrations. Ensure data protection and security standards are met while managing technical risk. Coordinate releases, hunt down bugs, pair with engineers, and resolve customer integration issues. This full-time role is based remotely within Germany or at our Leipzig offices, offering equity participation and a hands-on startup culture.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Good German skills
- 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Experience leading or mentoring a team
- Deep, practical knowledge of TypeScript/React
- Deep, practical knowledge of Go
- Solid experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
- Experience with modern DevOps and CI/CD practices
- Experience building third-party integrations
- Experience designing clean APIs
- Track record of shipping in a SaaS environment with continuous deployment
- Strong communication skills
- Commercial sense
- A bias for action
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Postgres at scale
- Experience building Office/Google add-ins
- Experience wrangling Vercel/ECS/RDS in production
