Job Summary
The Head of Department, Piping, is responsible for ensuring successful project execution by leading the piping engineering team, managing resources, and maintaining technical governance. This role includes planning personnel requirements, allocating employees to projects, coordinating interdisciplinary work, and proposing continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing teams within Piping Engineering, strong project management skills, and a commitment to mentoring department personnel. Required qualifications include a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering and extensive experience in relevant sectors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in related Engineering field
- Extensive experience in Piping Engineering within the oil & gas, chemical, or energy sectors
- Several years of experience in project management and/or line management
- Good understanding of interrelations between the different Engineering Disciplines
- Demonstrable skills in developing others and managing teams & teamwork
- Very good written and spoken English

- Experience in project execution in the EPC Industry
- Strong communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- Proven ability to challenge the status quo and drive change
