Job Summary
Establish Data Governance frameworks, including roles, responsibilities, policies, standards, and oversight forums. Define data ownership models across business domains and ensure key data roles are identified and trained. Establish enterprise data quality standards, metrics, and monitoring capabilities while defining and enforcing data standards for AI use cases. Embed a Data Risk & Control framework to identify, assess, and mitigate data-related risks, including formal review and approval of risk acceptances. Provide governance and oversight of data supporting regulatory reporting, ensuring data lineage, traceability, accuracy, and completeness in line with regulatory expectations. Define and track governance KPIs/KRIs with regular reporting and escalation to senior stakeholders. Evaluate, select, and provide oversight of data governance tooling and platforms ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and scalability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 12+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or data risk within financial services or trading platforms
- Strong background in capital markets, electronic trading, or fintech environments
- Deep understanding of data governance frameworks, operating models, regulatory requirements and tools (e.g. Collibra)
- Demonstrated success building or transforming enterprise data governance programs
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills; ability to influence senior leaders and obtain buy-in
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in complex organizations and drive pragmatic solutions
- Demonstrated leadership in executing and scaling governance frameworks, with strong communication and team management capabilities
