Job Summary
Lead Data & AI Governance for Allianz UK across London, Guildford and Bournemouth with a 50% office attendance expectation. Own and evolve the Data & AI Governance framework to ensure pragmatic, compliant, and business-enabling practices; drive rollout of AI governance aligned to Group standards and UK regulatory expectations; chair governance forums and drive senior stakeholder accountability; implement data policies, standards and procedures; improve data quality with data owners and stewards; manage data catalogue and metadata; collaborate to deliver strong customer and business outcomes; engage Risk and Audit to uphold governance standards; liaison with Allianz Group on maturity metrics and reporting; ensure governance tools and technologies support frameworks; lead Information Rights, SARs, data breaches, FOI requests and regulatory timelines; own data retention and destruction policies; lead, coach and develop Data Governance and Information Rights teams; build relationships with senior stakeholders and communicate complex data topics to Executives and Board; promote a culture of data responsibility, quality and compliance; essential skills include data governance frameworks, UK GDPR knowledge, responsible AI, leadership, stakeholder management, and experience in regulated environments; desirable skills include tools like Collibra/Informatica/Alation, insurance experience, and degree-level qualifications.
