Job Summary
Head of Data responsible for end-to-end data function, including operating model, platform investment, and leading a multi-disciplinary team across data engineering and analytics. Focus areas include building a trustworthy foundation (warehouse, pipelines, semantic layer, modeling), enabling self-serve analytics, and shipping models (ICP scoring, churn, next-best-action) into operational systems like Salesforce. Role requires setting data strategy, partnering with Product/Finance/GTM, and driving data-driven revenue impacts with hands-on leadership in code and automation when needed.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in data, with at least 3 years leading a multi-disciplinary data function (engineering, analytics, science) in a B2B SaaS company at our stage or larger
- Track record of building foundational data capabilities (warehouse, semantic layer, modeling)
- Experience shipping activation (models in production, revenue impact)
- Strong technical foundation in semantic layer and modern data stack; ability to read dbt models and critique schemas
- People leadership with proven ability to develop teams
- Comfort writing code or building automations (SQL, Python, dbt, LLM workflows)
- Experience operating with imperfect foundational support and driving outcomes
