Job Summary
Own end-to-end accounting for the credit portfolio, ensuring IFRS 9 compliance and maintaining robust policies. Lead the credit provisioning process by collaborating on ECL methodology, integrating model outputs into the general ledger, and preparing financial disclosures. Manage the warehouse facility finance function, overseeing borrowing bases, drawdown requests, covenant compliance, and lender reporting. Optimize operational controls and reconciliations across drawdowns, collections, and waterfall payments to implement scalable processes. Drive reporting efficiency by automating pipelines between lending systems and NetSuite, and collaborate on cash management for collections and inter-entity funding. Deliver statutory reporting, manage FCA regulatory returns, and lead the audit relationship. Provide strategic financial analysis to the board on cost of funds and portfolio performance.
Required Qualifications
- Specialist experience in SPV and structured finance accounting
- Familiarity with funding mechanics
- Lending experience
- A good grounding in IFRS 9
- ACA, ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA or an equivalent accounting qualification
- You've worked directly with lenders and external auditors
- Comfortable with data at volume, and reconciling across systems
- Proactive and organised
Desired Qualifications
- Experience at a specialist lender, consumer credit business or credit-focused fintech
- FCA regulatory reporting and capital adequacy experience for a regulated lending entity
- You've helped stand up a warehouse facility, or taken a business from one facility to several
- Multi-entity, multi-currency and multi-jurisdiction reporting experience
- Familiarity with more than one framework: IFRS, FRS 102 or US GAAP
- NetSuite experience
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Tableau or Looker
