Job Summary
Lead a team of creative specialists in producing high-volume, category-defining content for Avant Arte and Make-Ready Editions. Review and sign off campaign assets across copy, video, photography, and design before publication, while setting art direction for photographers and editors. Pitch innovative content concepts to artists and institutional partners, and shape creative strategies for marquee releases. Manage the content pipeline with Creative Ops to ensure timely delivery across multiple concurrent campaigns, and maintain strict quality standards from product photography to social channels. Act as the final quality gate, creating guidelines and templates to sustain on-brand output without bottlenecks.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional art director who can hold a quality bar across a large volume of output produced by a team of specialists
- Proven track record of developing content strategies and leading teams that deliver outstanding content across multiple content types
- Experience in a digital business where content needs to deliver on a tangible sales agenda without compromising on brand tone of voice
- Experience in managing teams delivering multiple concurrent projects using internal and external resources
- Experience managing budgets and aligning content ROI against your own and the business priorities of different departments
- Ability to inspire people across departments about the potential of what we can achieve with our content
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment
- Strong experience working in creative and content for a top culture, tech or fashion brand, publisher, high-growth start-up or agency
- Experience running content at volume
- Comfortable being the person everything passes through for sign-off, and can do it quickly and decisively without becoming the bottleneck
- Knowledge of the full content delivery stack including Figma asset versioning, on-site CMS page-building and the rest of the production chain
- Ability to maintain consistency and quality in every piece of content across on-site product photography, edition and artist pages, articles, social channels, email and other channels
- Ability to come up with and pitch innovative content ideas to both artists and their teams and to institutional partners
- Ability to give art direction to a photographer on a shoot or a video editor on a cut
- Ability to review and sign off campaign content across copy, video, photography and design before it goes out
- Ability to maintain a content strategy that underpins the delivery of impactful content with strong ROI
- Ability to respond to data on performance to continually improve the efficacy of our content
- Ability to work closely with the marketing team to determine content requirements for releases
- Ability to act as the guardian of the Avant Arte and Make-Ready brands, defining when and how each is most impactfully expressed
- Ability to manage and develop a team of creative specialists
- Ability to work in partnership with Creative Ops and Content Management to keep the campaign pipeline moving
- Ability to work closely with the Creative Ops lead to manage the content production budget
- Ability to work with the wider organisation to manage the ongoing pipeline of projects
- Ability to create and maintain guidelines, templates and standards that let specialists produce consistently on-brand work
- Ability to set and hold the visual and art-direction bar across everything we make
- Ability to know the full system of content delivery well enough to direct it confidently and step in when needed
- Ability to roll up your sleeves to get content over the line when the team is stretched
- Ability to sit down with Creative Ops to resequence the week when a launch date moves or a project slips
- Ability to brief a specialist on a new edition and set the creative bar for it
- Ability to shape the creative concept for a marquee release
- Ability to pitch a standout content idea to an artist's team or an institutional partner
- Ability to review and directing specialists in the creation of cut-through content
- Ability to act as the final quality gate on campaign content
