Job Summary
Head of Corporate Development role leading M&A and strategic partnerships for Mesh, shaping the company’s growth strategy. You’ll own the end-to-end deal lifecycle—from outreach and diligence to negotiation and close—across crypto payments infrastructure, API integrations, and settlement architectures. Build investment theses, deal frameworks, and board-ready insights, while partnering with Legal and Finance to structure and execute agreements. The position is hybrid, based in San Francisco or New York with three days in-office per week, and supports a remote-friendly approach across locations. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Business/Finance and 5+ years in investment banking, venture capital, growth, product, or corporate development within fintech or crypto, demonstrated experience running deals, and deep knowledge of crypto payments, API ecosystems, and regulatory licensing (EMI/MSB).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance or related field
- 5+ years of experience in investment banking, growth, venture capital, product, or strategy roles, or in-house corporate development at a fintech or crypto company
- Experience running deals from first conversation through close
- Strong grasp of crypto payments infrastructure (stablecoins, on/off-ramps, exchange integrations, custody, compliance)
- Technical fluency to evaluate a target's API architecture and integration complexity
- Ability to build models from scratch and pressure-test assumptions
- Working knowledge of EMI / MSB / money transmitter licensing
