Head of Corporate Development
$186,919–$233,649 year
Remote
Job Summary
Establish Harbor's inaugural corporate development infrastructure by designing playbooks and driving a high-velocity roll-up strategy targeting 3–5 closed deals annually in the $5M–$100M TEV range. Build and maintain a proprietary deal pipeline through direct founder outreach and banker relationships, then independently manage the full lifecycle from NDA negotiation through diligence, data room management, and closing conditions. Conduct advanced financial underwriting for lower middle-market software and services deals, evaluating normalized EBITDA, recurring revenue quality, and core SaaS metrics like ARR, GRR, and NRR. Coordinate cross-functional alignment across Finance, Legal, RevOps, and Operations to ensure seamless execution while delivering board-level reporting to the Private Equity sponsor.

- Hands-on experience working within or for a high-velocity roll-up platform
- Prior deal execution experience within tech-enabled business services, compliance workflow, legaltech, regtech, GRC, or vertical SaaS
- Practical exposure underwriting businesses with recurring-revenue, network-effect, or membership-based models
- Proven experience operating as an individual contributor in an environment requiring autonomy, pragmatism, and a roll-up-your-sleeves execution style
Desired Qualifications
- Elite financial modeling fluency, specifically tailored to complex revenue normalization, recurring revenue quality analysis, and software-enabled service metrics
- Exceptional commercial acumen, persuasive communication, and founder rapport-building skills necessary to unlock un-intermediated, off-market deal flow
- Specialized knowledge of the registered agent, corporate formatting, or business licensing/permitting compliance landscape
