Job Summary
Head of Consumer Banking & Lending Controller leads accounting, reporting, and internal controls for CB&L with strategic governance, ensuring GAAP compliance and regulatory reporting (FR Y-9C, Call Report, FFIEC 101, FR Y-14). Partners with business leadership to align accounting and control inputs with business priorities; drives transformation, automation, and digitization across the Controllers organization while managing a large team and coordinating with regulators, auditors, and cross-functional partners.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Experience leading large teams of 100+ individuals
- Controller experience within consumer banking/lending
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting, regulatory reporting, capital, and internal controls
- Experience dealing with financial regulators, internal and external auditors
- Ability to work in a matrix environment and influence Executives
- Experience in complex IT/data environments, MIS and data management
- Strong communication skills and leadership abilities
- Change agent with transformation and process-improvement experience
