Head of Computational Drug Design, Cambridge, MA

Head of Computational Drug Design to lead a growing team of Computational Chemists in Cambridge, MA, directing drug design strategy and cross-functional collaboration with AI/ML platform teams. Responsibilities include providing scientific leadership, setting goals and mentoring, delivering on drug discovery programs from hit finding to candidate nomination, partnering with CROs and external collaborators, and preparing proposals/reports to support ongoing programs. Strong emphasis on applying AI/ML to drug design, integrating AI/ML into computational chemistry workflows, and driving high-impact, data-driven scientific solutions across biology, chemistry, and pre-clinical development. Required expertise includes advanced drug design (virtual screening, structure- and ligand-based design), ML/deep learning model development, and Python-based tool development; leadership experience in pharma/biotech/CRO settings; and a track record of leading drug discovery programs and collaborations. Hybrid in-office requirement: Cambridge, MA with in-person days 3 per week.
