Job Summary
Lead commercial strategy and contractual risk management for complex healthcare and PPP/PFI estates. Ensure full contractual compliance, oversee pay mechanisms, and drive continuous improvement across the portfolio. Manage stakeholder negotiations regarding latent defects, unavailability claims, and supply chain obligations while supporting senior leadership in governance and decision-making. Track commercial performance, identify value opportunities, and mitigate financial and reputational risks. Report directly to the CEO and collaborate with clients, construction partners, and internal teams to deliver optimal commercial outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience operating within a PPP/PFI, healthcare or complex FM contractual environment
- Strong understanding of commercial contracts, contractual compliance, pay mechanisms and commercial risk management
- Proven experience managing commercial challenges, including latent defects, unavailability claims and stakeholder negotiations
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Resilient and commercially astute, with the ability to balance strategic priorities, manage competing demands and drive results
- You are a commercially minded leader with a strong understanding of PPP/PFI arrangements and the challenges associated with delivering services in complex contractual environments
- You combine excellent commercial judgement with strong analytical skills and are confident interpreting contracts, identifying risks and influencing positive outcomes
- You are an effective communicator who builds trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels and are comfortable providing advice and challenge to senior leaders
- Organised, resilient and solutions-focused, you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy driving continuous improvement and commercial performance
