Job Summary
Head of CoE Accounting (m/f/d) at Zeppelin Finance Organization, based in Garching near Munich. Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate Group financial statements, developing accounting policies, standards and processes, and ensuring IFRS compliance. Serves as sparring partner to Group Management and auditors, leads the Center of Excellence Accounting Team, and oversees harmonization and standardization of global accounting processes. Drives automation, digitalization, and AI solutions to improve efficiency, and coordinates with auditors and government agencies as the main point of contact.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the accounting department of an international corporation or an auditing firm
- Several years of leadership experience in a comparable position
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a comparable qualification
- Additional professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, Certified Auditor) are considered an advantage
- In-depth knowledge of international financial reporting under IFRS
- Good knowledge of modern IT systems (such as SAP S/4HANA, Global Lease Center, Global Tax Center)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
