Head of Client Reporting JP, Client Operations

Job Summary

Lead, develop, and inspire a team of institutional and retail reporting professionals while overseeing all client reporting production activities to ensure accurate, consistent, and on-time delivery. Maintain robust control frameworks and governance processes to support reporting quality and regulatory compliance, driving continuous improvement of workflows, controls, and operating models including offshored and outsourced activities. Execute the strategic roadmap for the Client Reporting function, enhancing reporting technology, data management capabilities, and platforms through cross-functional projects involving multiple countries and stakeholders. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across Sales, Investments, Product, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Risk, and senior management to support client service excellence and business growth. Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve reporting-related issues and risks while ensuring appropriate management reporting and governance escalation for material incidents.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in institutional client reporting, preferably supporting public pension funds, financial institutions, and asset management clients
  • Proven experience leading reporting or operations-related teams in a complex business environment
  • Management experience within a global organization, preferably in the asset management or broader investment management industry
  • Demonstrated success in leading organizational change, operating model improvements, and reporting platform enhancements
  • Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders across local, regional, and global organizations
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with overseas senior management and global leadership teams
  • Strong understanding of investment products including equities, fixed income, multi-asset, alternatives, and investment reporting methodologies
  • Working knowledge of performance measurement, attribution, accounting principles, and relevant reporting regulations
  • University degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Native-level Japanese and business-fluent English
  • Strong leadership and people management capability
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across functions, geographies, and organizational levels
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to build trusted relationships with both business and support functions
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills
  • Strategic thinker with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to balance strategic priorities with operational execution
  • High degree of ownership, accountability, and professional integrity
  • Clear aspiration and demonstrated potential to assume broader leadership responsibilities, including managing larger teams, functions, or organizational units in the future
  • Work in your designated office at least four days a week, with one day working outside an Invesco office

Desired Qualifications

  • CFA, CMA, CAIA, or similar industry qualification preferred
