Job Summary
Head of Carpentry to lead Sineath Construction's in-house carpentry team on active custom home and remodeling projects. Responsibilities include setting clear daily/weekly expectations, upholding craftsmanship and jobsite professionalism, partnering with Field Managers and Area Construction Managers to align schedules and client expectations, using JobTread for progress tracking and accountability, interviewing/hiring/training carpenters, proactively solving field challenges to protect timelines/budgets/client experience, maintaining organized, client-ready jobsites, reviewing timecards and tracking labor hours for accurate job costing, assisting in developing carpentry labor budgets and proposals, supporting invoicing for completed work, developing and enforcing a company-wide jobsite safety program, participating in planning meetings to forecast labor needs, and continuously improving division processes for growth. Compensation includes a competitive W2 base salary and a performance-based bonus with opportunities for broader leadership roles.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of hands-on residential construction experience
- 1-3+ years leading others in the field (crew lead, foreman, or similar leadership role)
- Experience with construction management software (Buildertrend, JobTread, CoConstruct, or similar)
- Experience with time tracking, estimating labor hours, job costing, proposals, or invoicing is a plus
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Detail-oriented with a high standard for quality and professionalism
- Calm, professional presence with the ability to represent the company well with clients and trade partners
- Strong communicator who follows through and holds others accountable
- Takes ownership and operates with pride, discipline, and consistency
