Job Summary
Head of CAPLYTA, US Field Medical Affairs leading a national MSL organization, overseeing scientific, clinical, and educational engagement for Neuroscience therapeutics. Develop and execute TA field strategy, coach Field Directors and MSLs, and ensure impactful medical affairs activities aligned with regulatory and company priorities. Drive access to healthcare professionals, synthesize scientific information into educational tools, and collaborate with R&D, MA trial teams, Marketing, and Legal. Position requires leadership of a national MSL team, talent development, succession planning, and cross-functional partnership; significant travel and flexible work arrangements, including maintaining a home office. Advanced degree (PharmD/PhD/MD) and 10+ years in Medical Affairs with MSL leadership experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- An Advanced degree such as a PharmD, PhD or MD is required
- Demonstrated success in leading field-based teams including experience in evidence generation and communication is highly preferred
- A minimum of 10 years in Medical Affairs
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required
- Minimum of 2-3 years previous MSL management responsibility is required
- Demonstrated track-record of successful business partner cross-functional collaboration, understanding of external healthcare landscape, scientific acumen, and/or clinical research experience
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and adaptable to embracing new AI technology
- Therapeutic experience is required
- Requires travel up to 60-70% annually
- Must be able to maintain an office in the home
- Available to attend periodic national scientific congresses and key strategic/scientific meetings
