Job Summary
Lead and develop Buying Operations teams across Customer Buying, BCX, and Inspections to create a high-performing, customer-first culture. Coach Team Leads and Managers through performance conversations and development plans while translating ambitious buying targets into achievable team goals. Monitor daily and weekly operational performance to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements before they impact results. Own and optimise the end-to-end Sell to Carma customer journey, improving conversion rates, satisfaction, and efficiency by diving deep into frontline processes to simplify, automate, and scale operations. Partner with People on workforce planning and support the launch of new sites through capacity planning and operational readiness. Build relationships across Buying, Strategy, Compliance, and Onboarding to deliver business-wide improvements while maintaining quality through regular site visits and inspections. Based in the Alexandria Head Office with regular travel across Sydney inspection sites.
Required Qualifications
- significant experience leading large customer-facing operations in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- successfully built and scaled operational teams, ideally across contact centres, field operations or multi-site businesses
- experienced people leader who knows how to develop leaders, build strong cultures and confidently manage performance
- highly commercial and comfortable working towards ambitious operational and customer targets
- naturally curious and always looking for ways to improve processes, customer experience and team performance
- build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple teams and levels of the business
- highly data-driven and use insights to make decisions, prioritise work and drive continuous improvement
- confident using CRM platforms, reporting tools and operational systems
- growth mindset, thrive in ambiguity and enjoy building structure as businesses scale
- valid driver's licence
