Job Summary
Lead the bank's insurance broking function within the Insurance Platform Team (IPT). Develop the build plan for broking capabilities, launch the live broking component, and lead a team of licensed brokers and support staff to deliver outcomes for the firm and clients. Drive recruitment, performance management, and succession planning; align internal stakeholders across Lines of Business; own revenue targets and growth strategy; build referral and demand-generation pipelines with relationship managers and internal stakeholders; provide high-quality client advisory, risk advisory, and claims advocacy for complex/high-value placements; ensure regulatory compliance and build a scalable trading/client management platform integrated with the IPT build. Preferred qualifications include multi-state licensing and CPCU/CIC or equivalent designation.
Required Qualifications
- Substantial experience in property & casualty insurance broking
- Strong understanding of operational infrastructure for insurance broking (AMS, rating platforms)
- Proven track record of leading and growing a broking team in a regulated environment
- Strong technical knowledge across commercial and/or personal lines products
- Active P&C license required
- Deep understanding of state-level regulatory requirements and carrier market dynamics
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior level
- Strong commercial judgment and a client-first mindset
