Job Summary
Define and publish the Greater Asia brand strategy, including positioning, audience segmentation, and the annual brand calendar. Translate performance marketing and social signals into upstream content strategy by selecting specific IPs, genres, and formats. Own the IP acquisition roadmap for agency-represented properties, handling sourcing, prioritization, and business cases. Partner with Content and Production teams as the strategy client to write briefs and hold quality standards. Run localized brand and social campaigns in Southeast Asia, including KOL and platform partnerships. Report brand health and campaign efficacy monthly, establishing a clear line from spend to audience growth. This role requires 8+ years in brand strategy with proven experience across Asian and Western markets, professional fluency in Mandarin and English, and a hands-on background in entertainment marketing.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in brand strategy, content marketing, or entertainment marketing
- at least 2 years setting strategy and executing it
- Proven experience across both Asian and Western markets
- Professional fluency in Mandarin and English, written and spoken
- Hands-on background in entertainment marketing and publicity
- Demonstrable content judgment
- Comfortable as a team of one to start
- ability to build a function as the region scales
- Humble, resourceful, and effective at influencing teams you do not manage
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with short-form vertical drama, webtoon, web novel, or micro-drama formats
- Existing relationships with distribution platforms or talent agencies across Greater Asia
- Prior work at a Chinese-language streaming platform or studio
