Job Summary

Head of Brand & Content at Lapel owns the voice, narrative, and external presence across all customer surfaces. Responsible for shaping brand voice and positioning for a new category of software, writing content that builds Lapel’s public presence, translating complex product concepts into sharp external content, and owning the marketing engine across written, video, and launch formats. Leads and briefs freelance writers, designers, and video editors; partners with founders on strategy and execution; requires 3+ years in brand/content at a tech company, strong writing and strategic instincts, and ability to connect product, market, and culture into a coherent story. The role is an in-person SF office position with full benefits and equity; compensation is salary plus meaningful equity.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience owning brand, content or narrative at a tech company
  • Strong writing ability and storytelling to translate complex product concepts into external content
  • Experience shaping brand voice and positioning across multiple surfaces
  • Proven ability to own launches and distribute content across formats (written, video, launch assets)
  • Experience managing freelance writers, designers, and video editors
  • Ability to partner closely with founders and cross-functional teams
  • Comfort with high ownership and creating coherent narratives across product, market, and culture
