Job Summary
Head of Bioinformatics leads a multidisciplinary team to shape oncology bioinformatics strategy, develop scalable analytical pipelines for high-throughput sequencing and multi-omics analyses, ensure data quality and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive translational oncology research and drug development.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Mathematics, or a related field
- 5+ years of leadership experience in oncology bioinformatics / computational biology preferably in the industry
- Demonstrated expertise in using computational approaches to support target identification and/or biomarker discovery
- Expertise in the analysis of large-scale omics data and the application of bioinformatics tools and databases
- Strong background in machine learning, algorithm development, and computational biology applied to multi-omics data
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Perl, and experience with bioinformatics software and platforms
- Strong knowledge of statistical and machine learning methods and their application to biological data
- Sound understanding of regulatory compliance and clinical bioinformatics validation processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and concepts to a diverse audience
- A passion for scientific discovery and a commitment to advancing oncology drug development
