Job Summary
Senior technology leader to head AWS Cloud Platform Engineering within State Street’s Cloud Platforms. Owns AWS platform strategy, productization of platform services, and governance to enable secure, scalable, and compliant cloud capabilities for a global financial services context. Leads a global team across platform engineering, SRE/operations, architecture, and FinOps to deliver reusable, scalable platform products, drive developer productivity, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements. Requires deep AWS expertise, platform-as-a-product mindset, experience with multi-account AWS architectures, security controls, observability, and a proven track record delivering in regulated environments. Strong collaboration with Technology, Risk, Audit, Security, and Enterprise Architecture to balance speed with risk and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- 15+ years IT industry experience
- 5+ years in Cloud Strategy or Cloud platform engineering in highly regulated financial services
- minimum 3 years in a leadership role
- Extensive working knowledge with AWS
- Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible)
- CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Harness)
- Knowledge of NIST 800-53, CSA CCM 4.0, GDPR, DORA
- Experience delivering in regulated environments
- Strong stakeholder management across Technology, Risk, Audit and Security
