Head of Asset Management

Job Summary
Lead the department and coordinate asset management work across Pensions, Fund Management, and Private Equity. Manage the team, set operational processes, and review performance data to improve service delivery and achieve strategic goals. Oversee traditional and Tier 2/3 pension portfolios, win new business, and maintain welfare and endowment funds. Establish new fund management products, ensure software efficiency for client statements, and raise capital for target investments. Appraise investee companies, negotiate deal closures, and monitor ongoing investments while providing feedback to the management and board. Liaise with CEO, CFO, and investee company boards on strategic direction. Requires a Masters' degree, five years in securities, and relevant industry experience.
Required Qualifications
- Masters' Degree in Finance, Economics or related field from a recognised university
- A minimum of five (5) years' experience in the securities industry
- Experience in Pensions, Wealth Management & Private Equity
- An extensive understanding of investment management and its regulatory environment
- Practical management experience in managing and supervising operational activities
- Excellent project and team management skills
- Analytical and strategic minded individual with attention to detail
- Skilled negotiator with no compromise on quality
- Excellent communicator both orally and written
- Results Oriented
Desired Qualifications
- Certification as a valuation analyst (CVA or FMVA)
